
Gregory Funaro grew up in Cranston, Rhode Island. Following graduation from the University of New Hampshire, he received a Certificate in Acting from The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in NYC, an AM in Theatre Arts from Brown University, and an MFA in Acting from the FSU/Asolo Conservatory in Sarasota, Florida. He has worked professionally as an actor, and is currently an associate professor in the School of Theatre & Dance at East Carolina University, where he teaches, acts and directs. In addition to being a voracious reader, Gregory is an amateur artist, bassist, and history buff. He holds a black belt in karate, and is considered by many to be one of the world's worst poker players. Gregory lives with his family outside of Raleigh, NC, and is a proud member of The Authors Guild, Mystery Writers of America, International Thriller Writers, International Association of Crime Writers, and the Horror Writers Association. His novels for Pinnacle Books, THE SCULPTOR (2010) and THE IMPALER (2011), both feature FBI Agent Sam Markham.
